Studying Some of the Factors Influencing the Agricultural Sector to Achieve the Dimensions of Sustainable Development in Iraq for the Period 1990-2019

Abstract

Sustainable development is one of the methods required by contemporary life, which is characterized by development and change, as the agricultural sector has witnessed instability for many years due to the various circumstances experienced by Iraq. Dimensions of sustainable development, and the study concluded that agricultural investment is one of the main factors, especially while the agricultural sector suffers from the lack of appropriate investment plans, especially during the past decades. Dimensions of sustainable development in Iraq using the statistical program EViews 10 through ARDL analysis. The study recommends activating the role of investment in the agricultural sector due to its importance in supporting agricultural domestic production in the short and long term through investment projects in the plant or animal aspect, and working to provide support for the workforce in the agricultural sector by creating the necessary expertise and providing courses required to raise the level of employment, and the need to increase the governmental approach to support the agricultural sector for the role it plays in the dimensions of sustainable development, whether at the level of production or the level of employment in the agricultural sector in Iraq.
